The big data industry has gradually evolved from the theory to practice. Since the big data having been highly used in over 90% enterprises, high-end big data software talent supply can hardly meet the requirement. One such report goes that data-analysis positions have become one of the top six demanding jobs in China's internet industry where the shortage of future China's basic data analysis professionals is prone to be 14 million.

"Useful business insights don't automatically emerge from all kinds of information. Thus, an enterprise must identify, organize, and analyze operational data and combine the results of the data analysis with the business-related parts. This requires support such as planning, budgeting, and appropriate tools and expertise." The work of the senior data analyst is dynamic and disorganized, which means that the data analyst's salary is mainly determined by the working experience.

In the United States, the average annual salary of big data analysts can be as high as $175,000, while in domestic internet companies such as BAT, big data analysts may be paid 20% to 30% higher than the same level of other positions, and they are highly valued by enterprises.

"2016 China Internet Hottest Job Talent Report" shows that talent supply index is only 0.05 which means highly scarce. In addition, the data analysis talent job-hopping speed is also the fastest with average time interval of 19.8 months. In the data-driven future, data analysis will become the most basic professional skills and big data talent market is bound to become bigger and bigger. In the future, China's basic data analysis talent shortage will reach 14 million.

In the future, the data team will evolve into a centralized team with an embedded working model. It will develop an in-depth integration with the business, and handle more predictive modeling in addition to day-to-day business analysis.
